On October 6, I again received mail addressed to another person and for a different address. I also know that my mail is being misdelivered as well. Over the years I have had to have mail re-sent to me because I never received it (even though it was mailed to me). As a taxpayer, it is my right to receive the mail that is being sent to me and receive it in a in a timely fashion.

Written by Amber on March 30, 2012 from phoenix, arizona, US Getting other people's mail doesn't bother me so much as when very important mail that I've been expecting doesn't turn up in MY mail box. My neighbors, who share an address with me but have a different apartment #, keep getting my mail, and then returning it to the post office with a "wrong address" note. I was expecting a $900 check a few weeks ago that never arrived, so I had to wait an additional month to receive it....this was while I was unemployed and needed the check more than anything. The check was redelivered, but it was still sent to my neighbor's mailbox ...luckily I caught it before the mail carrier picked it up again. I have complained to the post office several times and this keeps happening. Not cool, USPS. |

3. Written by OnnaMishun on July 5, 2011 from ft. worth, texas, US A package was mailed to us with some hand made, one of a kind, non-replacable, expensive items from ***, Georgia to Rentz, Geogia. It's now in DENVER COLORADO! Since it was sent Priority, it should have been here already since it was mailed on June 28, 2011. Does anyone have any idea how to get in contact with these sorting facilities? We had hoped we could contact the Denver Office and see if we can track down this package and get it back in GEORGIA. It was being mailed from Georgia to another place in Georgia and how it went to sorting facilities in Memphis and Denver are beyond me. We are getting pretty with this and if anyone has any ideas, we are open to suggestions.
4. Written by USPS Constantly F's UP on July 1, 2011 from los angeles, california, US USPS always delivers us our neighbor's mail. They also retaliate (in their own bitchy way) when you complain. I wish an independent service (not shipping service) could be established to compete with the I.D.G.A.F. USPS.
5. Written by Fed up with USPS on December 20, 2010 from herndon, virginia, US I live in Winthrop, Maine. Our mail carrier has misdelivered bank statements, credit card statements, bills, etc.- both ours and other peoples. I have had to change my bank and credit card numbers to protect myself. We even got someone else's IRS refund! Many people have complained but they won't fire the guy, but he does retaliate against those who have complained by leaving mailbox doors wide open in the pouring rain, shoving a small piece of mail way to the back, etc. I actually drive to a different TOWN to mail out important mail.

7. Written by POB customer on October 30, 2010 from huntsville, alabama, US Mail addressed to residence occasionally delivered to either next door neighbor (sub letter carrier). Quite often they are distracted by delivering the mail and conversing on their mobile phone at the same time. Mail delivered to Post Office Box is put into adjacent Box (N,S,E or W). So if theirs is delivered incorrectly then their is a high probability that mine is also. IS IT REALLY THAT DIFFICULT TO MATCH NUMBER TO NUMBER?
8. Written by Social**** on September 23, 2010 from mt. morris, michigan, US Just this morning I recieved a hand written note from the Mail Lady, telling me to tell another person they do not live here and could not have their checks delivered to my address, and asking what was wrong with their address... She didn't sign her name just wrote USPS and left it in my mail box... and did not leave the box of checks she was reffering to... How can she tell me who is allowed to have their mail sent to my address? Isn't her job is to deliver and not ask questions, or get into my personal business of who does live here or not?

10. Written by Greg on June 27, 2010 from attleboro, massachusetts, US @Ryan: Misdelivered mail is a serious problem for USPS customers. USPS knows that, which is why they are actively trying to correct the issue. Apparently it's only YOU that doesn't know that. While it's true they haven't received any tax money (and have been independent) for the past few decades, they are borrowing money from the U.S. Treasury to pay their debts.
