In 1970 NASA managed to get Apollo 13 to do a 800,000 km journey in six days. 45 years later USPS managed to get my small package to do 3000 km in six days which is only just over a third of its intended journey as a priority service. I thought mankind was supposed to progress not regress. Thank God that the management of USPS do not manage space flights. Now eBay's Global Shipping Program has it. We are now organising a sweepstake in the office as to when it may arrive. Similar thing happened last year when my package when from Oregon to Los Angeles to Canada back to Los Angeles then to Cincinati then Erlanger then UK. I get items from central China quicker than from this service.

Lost package.Closed case.No contact.No tracking

Shipped package small flat rate box international.Tracking shows last scan in Jamaica NY one month ago. Opened a case with USPS. No call back as promised.After 3 calls from me in 2 weeks,found out that my case was closed with NO explanation,no call to me.Come to find out that if we use a small flat rate box or envelope,there is NO tracking at all ! And what's worse,NO insurance ! So we the customer cannot even file a claim against the USPS to recoup my money. SO my customer purchased an item.I pay USPS $16.00 to ship it to him.It is now "lost". I have to now reimburse my customer cost of item AND cost of shipping. So the USPS has FREE money and neither me or my customer has the item !?? And we wonder why the USPS is trying hard NOT to go bankrupt !!

USPS South San Jose Fails to Deliver

Mail carrier placed pink "sorry we missed you" notice in mailbox, stating that he delivered the parcel to the front office of the gated apartment community. Parcel never arrived at the front office. Tracking report shows that the Priority 2-day parcel is still out for delivery (has been since 8:30am). This is not the first time this has happened and I am getting tired of the careless and lazy attitude of the mail carriers. I have no clue at this point if this is a simple oversight, or whether the parcel has been lost/misplaced. Granted, there are a lot of apartments in the community, but isn't delivering parcels part of a mail carriers job? And let's not even talk about amazon.com's Sunday deliveries - here, the mail carrier doesn't even attempt to deliver anything but simply logs that the front office is closed and the parcel can't be delivered until Monday - regardless of the fact that I am actually home and specifically ordered something to arrive on Sunday. It is time that we do away with this outdated, outmoded, and overpriced fossil filled with incompetent and non-caring government employes and replace it with a customer-centered, 21st century business model.

Holding Up My Mail Delivery

Received a letter dated March 26, 2013 from the post office, hand delivered by mail man yestereday, June 9, 2015. Talk about slow mail! It says they are holding my mail until I comply with certain conditions. I installed a mail receptacle on my front door, one of the options listed in the letter, and called the provided phone number as requested. No one answers the phone or has the common courtesy of returning the call. I am not getting my mail. The letter is signed by M. Ramirez. I keep calling and asking for M. Absolutely, positively, no response.

If the USPS was a private company they would be out of business. Five days after a 2 day prioriity package was to be delivered I am still waiting. No update on the package for the last three days. Customer service is non existent. From now on it is Fedex or UPS

I made an order and the nrxt dsy May 29, 2015 my email confirmed processed. June 1, package picked up in Pasadena, TX(small city physically next to Houston, TX). Jun 3, my package goes to Dallas, TX for sorting, then down to N Houston, a large facility for sorting by Jun 5, then to my Heights neighboorhood in Houston, TX to be delivered to me on Jun 6(usually in my box early evening if sometimes(?) not sooner. According to tracking numbers it arrived on the 6th but in my mailbox on the 10th(Sunday) in the afternoon. They could've taken care of this tracked "First Class" small package in the giant facilty in Houston or the big one in North Houston in the first place. I suspect the delivery, although clearly marked, went to a neighbor who placed in my box at his/her convenvience. I think my package should've arrived on Jun 3rd.

They don't care about you and your needs!

I needed my stuff early so I could catch a flight they could of went in the back and got my stuff but they WOULD NOT. What was in the box was something that I needed to get a new job and start a new life on the west cost and I could not go until I got my package. It was at the post office by 9am and they told me If it was not there before 9am they could not help me because most of the guys go at 9am to make there rounds. I said It's just one pallet of boxes why can't you help me out and go In the back and just open that pallet and find my box so I can go get on a plane. No she said It's to much for one person she told me that It's about 100 boxes or so that came from new Berlin Fedx smartpost here In Wisconsin to pleasant prairie WI and she said I'm not trying to be a *** but I can't do that It's to much for one person. These people are lazy jackasses!!!!!!!! and now a very big job that I could of got Is lost for ever because of one person. In the box was a piece of equipment that allowed me to conduct aerial flight with a camera on it to film for the Discovery channel. One must have there own equipment to show that you can fly and film at the same time smoothly flying and filming and that box had my future in it!!!!. Now I missed the window to interview for my dream job and I'm not sure If they will understand when I call them and till them I need one more day If they say sorry but we hired someone else I CAN'T PROMISE WHAT I MAY DO OR NOT DO BECAUSE OF THIS ***!!!!! WOULD NOT HELP ME A FELLOW AMERICAN !!!!

Had a package,a box.It was sent priority mail.Was in warehouse in Philadelphia for 3 days before it was sent out to me in Buffalo the package was crushed and torn,the box inside the box was crushed and there was a $1300 watch inside.The post office tried blaming me as well as the sender.If I make a claim because there wasn't insurance it's only covered for $50...And if you try to claim the insurance they keep what's in the box.Also they left the box in my porch.Pissed cause they won't admit they damaged it,instead tried to put blaim on send as well as receiver.

So, I move and change my address.. still no mail. When I go to my local post office they say I need a curbside mailbox to get my mail.. and they sent my paid for packages back to the sender! Now, I have to pay for shipping again.. *** usps. They've made this move way more stressful, and I really needed those packages. When I called customer service the lady was rude, saying "well, you would have to wait for your packages to be sent back anyway.." NO ***! If they would have done the *** job the first time, I wouldn't have to pay and wait to get my packages. They're all inconsiderate, lazy ***. I'm thoroughly pissed.

Usual mail delivery after 6:00 PM the norm in Houston

I have lived in 77077 zip code of Houston, TX for 11 years. For most of that time my mail was delivered timely & correctly, i.e., no misdirected mail. Over the last several months the mail is often delivered after 6:00 PM, yesterday it was almost 7:30 before the truck showed up. My understanding is its supposed to be delivered by 5. I have also had several recent episodes of receiving someone else's mail, sometimes not even the same house number! Are these people incapable of reading, or what's the problem? I realize nothing will change unless we can get another person who is able to read & tries to pay attention to house numbers as well as street names. I won't hold my breath though.
