Verified ReviewerComplete failure to deliver a small package from Arizona to Dallas, TX
Since the shipping address I was given proved to be non-existent, I did some research and discovered that the street name was spelled incorrectly. The name given, was "Alder Dr." and the research revealed it should have been "Adler Dr.". Certainly a simple oversight on...
When the vendor hadn't received it within 14 days, I checked the tracking number and it showed as "out for delivery" for over a week. I personally contacted the local post office who attempted to contact the Dallas office, but in vain. She said they NEVER answer their phone, but agreed to send them an email. There NEVER was a response, so on 1-22-24 I filed a claim on the lost package, giving the description and value of the product being returned.
On 1-29-24, I got a letter agreeing to only half ($100) of what I had claimed ($200). So I wrote a letter of protest, on 2-11-24 and explained the whole sad process and that I felt insulted at their offer. On 2-16-24 I received a letter of total denial. I never did receive the $100 that was promised.
Shame on me for trusting USPS.
I've said for years, that if you want a package to arrive on time, send Fed Ex. If you can't afford Fed Ex, go with UPS. If you don't care if it ever gets there, try USPS.
Their track record is getting worse and worse. But even the demeanor and attitude of the employees has become so cryptic and unfriendly, it is astonishing.

Verified Reviewer |Horrible service
6/26/2023
I have filed numerous complaints about the poor customer service from our local South Lake branch of the USPS in Lexington SC 29073. It's been years of horrible service since Buzz retired.
We had a mentally deranged carrier for a while who threatened to sue us if we ordered anything in a box from Amazon, claiming DeJoy told her to sue customers for heavy parcels. Then we had a few between her who misdelivered mail routinely, dumped mail in odd places near the road, and/or delivered others people's mail to us. The woman before the young man we have now, often sped by the house and didn't pick up the mail at all. Clearly, she trained this new guy!
After filing many complaints with attached pictures, a polite man called me today and took all the information for probably the 30th time (nothing ever improves), then a rude woman from Newberry named Tiffany called, and she was confrontative.
She claimed I was being mean and should have to buy a post office box, and travel to the post office daily to get my mail??? I have already been delivering multiple boxes of mail to my neighbors that the carrier leaves in my driveway, but now I need to come in, buy a post office box, and wait in line daily for my mail too, because the carrier is incompetent? I'm sorry, I snapped at her and told her the whole point was for him to do his job correctly, not tell me to do his job for him. Then she got nasty and said imagine having to deliver to as many houses as he has to???
Again, she should be working with him to improve, not lecturing me on how hard of a time he is having. I routinely get other people's packages with my address written on their boxes, to then find out it's for people up the street. She claimed it wasn't his fault, he is learning. I told her he doesn't pick up mail in the mailbox with the flag up either, and it often sits for days.
She claimed it must have been someone else. Then the few packages he got to my home for me, he threw out in the rain, even with a note on the inside of the mailbox lid clearly specifying to put it in the well marked receptical on my front stoop (I sent you the USPS pictures). He claimed he thought it was a garbage can and never read the sign on it or the note taped inside my mailbox. Can he even read?
It would explain why I constantly get other people's mail. Please don't have Tiffany from Newberry call me again. The man who called before her was professional. She was hostile and accusatory.
If you can't deliver the mail correctly, please send it back to the vendors, because right now it is being delivered to other neighbors, some of whom sit on it for weeks before they bring it by. I have asked Amazon, TEMU, and others to use FedEx or UPS. They behave professionally and their carriers see the very clearly marked package box. They also knock on the door, especially when it is raining.
She clearly should not be working in customer service, because all she did was tell me what an awful person I was for filing a complaint. The man was there listening, so I guess she felt she had to defend his slack behavior. But, telling me to come in daily to get my own mail and pay for a post office box was out of line. If he can't do his job, why is she insisting I do it.
I've worked for the government for years, and no one ever told someone else to do my job for me. Her ending the call saying he was unable to deliver effectively because there are too many houses on his route, isn't an excuse. Maybe you should hire him help? Or, possibly replace him if he can't handle the job.
Being lectured for being "mean," when I just want my mail delivered to me undamaged and don't want to deliver packages for others he drops in my driveway isn't mean.
I'm truly tired of repeating everything he has done wrong constantly. Clearly his incompetence is fine with the post office. My next contact will be with the news media, because clearly you all don't want to correct the issue. My neighbors are tired of the poor customer service too.
The polite man who called earlier said he had a list of them to get back with today, but Tiffany made it out that I was the only one complaining, and I was being mean to a sweet man who can't keep up with the huge work load he has. Well, then get him help. Don't tell me I have to start driving to the post office daily to get my mail!
I felt attacked for just wanting service that everyone else takes for granted daily, and we haven't had service for 4 years. And, when staff tell me I need to stop complaining and just get my own mail daily, it is not appreciated!
In the last 4 weeks mail has been dumped out in the rain next to a clearly marked package receptical, I've gotten numerous packages delivered to me with my address drawn over my neighbors addresses, I've gotten mail from across Lexington and put it back in the box, for it to sit there for days and not be picked up, and I'm expected to be nice and put up with this???
He broke my mailbox off the post by balancing a heavy package on top of it! Did anyone compensate me? No! He has also balanced packages on post office boxes throughout our neighborhood and raced through the neighborhood one night not picking up any mail!
It was insulting to be told to start picking up my own mail because I'm mean and he is overwhelmed!!! Train these people before you throw them out on a route!

Verified ReviewerNot receiving my package
My package has been in Baton Rouge, La since the 24th of Feb, and I still did not get it. What is going on in the center in Baton Rouge, La , and this is not the first time, notice many other times my packages have been sitting in Baton Rouge.
If you can get the workers there to work, hire more, don't hire the illegals and the lazy ones. You need workers because you are the government and it shows how you all work. What is our government doing, because is a government place and when I go to the post office to request information, it is like they don't care and don't have an answer for you.
They have lazy workers in LOUISIANA POSTAL SERVICE, ESPECIALLY IN THIS PLACE. WHAT ARE YOU DOING ABOUT IT POST OFFICE?

The USPS employee somewhere between here and the company that has been trying to mail me the letter is in Georgia but somewhere between here and there a USPS employee is stealing my letter sent from them they first mailed it to me on January seventeenth and I never got it well I called them and told them I never received anything so they were nice enough to mail me another letter and now it seems it has been stolen again for a second time and I am furious it has really added much more stress and other problems that shouldn't be and I want something done about it and if I don't ever get the piece of mail that I have been waiting for, for way to long now it's ridiculous I have put in tons of requests to USPS and got no response and it's like they act like I am not even there the way they have been treating me is truly criminal and disrespectful to the max and I will really like to sue the pants off of them I have gone without eating for more than one day cause of this b.s. and I will not stop lost sleep been stressed out to the max feel like I have nothing that I can actually call mine no private anything and when I need help I just get ignored so ...

I dont like people that cant do their job the right way so what I would do is save other peoples mail write on it return to sender when you go out of town drop it in a mail box far from home let them do their job twice. If you dont get satisfaction from employes go up the ladder to different supervisors or file a formal complaint each time.
